Hi There,

I'm nearly finished my first full season of iGP and I have some questions about the "Headquarters".

First off, these are my current HQ Levels:
Design: Level 4
Manufacturing: Level 2
Offices and hospitality: Level 2
Simulator: Level 4 (Upgrading to Level 5 atm.)
Technology: Level 2
Youth Academy: Not yet built.

I haven't found a guide for any of these, but had a few questions:
1. Is there any need to upgrade the Manufacturing? Given I can get free parts from the app for watching ads I don't see the point in taking the time to upgrade this building...

2. Is there any point, at lower levels, to upgrade the Offices and Hospitality? If I can't upgrade it beyond my Manager level (Currently level 7), then it will not raise the Morale of any of my staff, they are all 7 or 8.

3. Is Design the most important building in the list? I feel like Car design is one of the biggest factors in determining your race ending position, and so it feels like more points to spend on your car each race is going to have the biggest difference to results than anything else.

4. I've obviously been also focusing on the Simulator. Is this as important as the Design building? I suspect not, but I do love training my driver's each day after races, and I would like it to be more effective. I also feel like drivers are the second biggest factor in determining race results.

5. Is the Youth Academy worth building, while I am such a low level and mainly obtaining drivers from the Transfer Market. It appears there really isn't much money to be made from selling staff, so it doesn't appear that it could even function as a revenue stream...

And lastly: 6. At the rate I am levelling up I find it impossible, with the build times in the HQ, to get any of these buildings near 5 stars, let alone all of them. I haven't spent tokens on any of the upgrades in the HQ yet, and don't really plan to at any point. Is this designed that it's unrealistic, and that I should really only focus on 1, maybe 2 of the buildings here until they are max, and then work on the others once the 'most important' buildings are maxxed?

Thanks,
Ryan

1) No need for now to upgrade on this if you can watch the 10 videos per day

2) Absolutely no need to upgrade this as it's useless

3) Yes along with Technology

4) No it's not as important but it is useful when you do not haev anything else that's worthy of upgrading

5) Yes if you're looking to have a decent driver, but otherwise always focus on design and technology factory.

6) You will start to level up slower so I would not worry about this.

I'd love to develop a completely brand new guide for players when I have the chance.

1. If you are getting by with no shortages on parts by earning them free via the ads, then don't upgrade the Manufacturing facility.

2. I think upgrading the Offices and Hospitality facility should be avoided completely for the time being. The attributes of staff currently have zero (ZERO!) impact on anything right now, and the only aspect of staff that currently matters is how many stars they have in relation to your manager level.

3. Yes, I believe the Design facility is the single most important building. It's closely followed by the Technology facility.

4. Rather than focusing on the Simulator facility, focus on spending for a 4 or 5 star doctor to sign to your team so you can reap the most benefit at the best efficiency for your level.

5. I do not recommend building the Youth Academy until maybe around level 10. The higher the level of the Youth Academy, the higher the likelihood of acquiring a talented driver, perhaps even the coveted 20 talent.

6. The star ratings of the buildings don't make any impact on anything. The star ratings of the buildings only indicate their level in relation to your manager level. I recommend focusing on the Design and Technology facility.

Thanks for the responses guys!

I already have a 5 star doctor, so I'll stop upgrading the Simulator and focus on the Design and Technology Buildings!

I know this isn't the thread, but I thought (no basis for this mind you) that Morale added(multiplied?) together with Experience and Talent to the Star rating of a staff member... As such, I got the feeling that upgrading the Hospitality facility in your HQ would then help increase the star level of your staff (if it raised their Morale), meaning you might be able to get away with not purchasing new staff when your manager level goes up.
Is this line of thinking completely wrong?

Staff can't be trained to level up, unfortunately.
