Hi guys,

If it is raining before a race how do you know what tyres too start on? How do you know if the water level is low enough to start on inters or high enough to start on full wets?

Wait until a couple of minutes before qualifying lockdown and do two practice laps, one on inters and one on full wets. Quickest lap time is the tyre to choose. Of course this assumes the depth of water on the track doesn't change appreciably during the ten minute qualifying period.

Currently you only get 5 practice laps per car.

As you become more experienced you will begin to develop an idea on how to set up the car's ride height and wing level before even performing a single practice lap.

Those that aren't experienced get 5 laps per car.

...and perhaps the use of a spread sheet or old fashioned pencil and paper to help down the road

Is it an idea that that the host of a competition can select the number of practis rounds in the different competitions in settings? Lets say minimum of 4 up to 8 rounds. That way there is a choice in how difficult it would be.

Or u could make it possible to view setup information form former races on the same track.

Just do research at other races when it's raining. Then you know which tyre you have to use in the rain.
