Britain (New Layout) Hint, Hint.
329.5kph (204.742 mph)

Germany
306kph (190.14 mph)

Hungary
315kph (195.732 mph)

Europe

There is far to much 350kph (217.479) turning up in race result data.

Shouldn't this be in Help & Support?

Don't know it's not helping anyone unless they lock those speeds to the tracks, using boost in a race it automatically gives a reading of 350kph. Plus those speeds are old data for the tracks at the start of next season in F1 they will have new speeds because of the track records being beat this season. :)

Ah sorry, I understand, it would be nice if the normal speeds in iGP were similar to F1, although knowing that boost generously affects both the acceleration and the maximum speed will be a bit difficult.
It could do something like the maximum speed in a circuit were those but with boost were extended by 7%, for example Belgium 319.6kph (198.59mph) and with boost 341.97kph (212.49mph).

The only reason Belgium is so low is because the speed trap is at the top of the hill just before the DRS zone and not the end of the straight where the cars reach 357kph (221.829mph) That's the worse thing about speed traps in F1 they have them in some stupid places.

Old British Grand Prix is the same as Germany 306kph (190.139mph) but at the end of hanger straight cars are doing 318kph (197.596mph)

That's how I find my setups in F1 games I tinker around with the setup to it matches speed trap info. It's only a small part of track but it gets you setup nicely for the race saving tyre life not going over the limit

I don't think lowering the speed cap is the way to go. The car design system makes cars too similar already later in the calendar without even more cars, with lower stats, being able to hit the lowered speed caps and thus almost everyone having the same top speed. Rather reduce the speed of the whole car range, by 5% or so for a first try I guess, and once time allows rework the track data to match their real counterparts more closely. Although my vote would be on doing some new tracks first.

I agree with the suggestion to give boost a higher cap.

I don't think it's down to car design it more the technology of the cars that's giving record beating speeds.

Australia Default Elite 5star CD Car design
Level 9 tech car with no setup, the top speed for my drivers was 190.34mph & 202.73mph
Level 20 tech car with no setup, the top speed was 217.48mph for both drivers

This is natural, if DRS and boost lengthens the maximum speed.

Belgium was just an example, I could have done it with any other circuit.

hehehe only an example but it's a good one because the game is saying we are already doing 350kph at the top of the hill in Belgium, we must be hitting 400+ by the end to straight, but the race viewer shows top speed of the car is 7th gear 324kph if I remember correctly.

True, but the real problem is not that, but if the boost worked as in F1 would be almost useless.
