Same weather informations in Practice and Race

Live weather isn't easy to manage. Sometimes when you are in Practice, the weather changes every 5 minutes because of showers and practices make non-sense with sometimes intermediate needed, then softs, then inter again...

Fact is in Practice we only have that small icon with sun or rain.
But during the race we have the same thing plus the rain level in mm and that is the only real thing that defines if we need to change tyres.

So, can we have that rain level also during the practice session ?
I can't figure out why it's currently not there...

In general, the game currently lacks sufficient weather data that used to be present in the old iGP, where you were able see precisely when the rain would start or stop in how many minutes' time. Things like mm levels would also be useful to know in pre-race preparations.

I've been commenting about this once in a while. Posts regarding the need for better available weather data have been common since the dawn of the new iGP.

The mm level is the only thing to know about the weather.
We all know it can be sunny but the track is still wet, or rainy but the track is not wet enough...

The only information we have in practice about the weather is useless in fact.
At the moment, I'm only asking to copy paste that information in the tab setup.

I disagree with that. When I play a game, I want the informations to be into the game.
Trying to make a game for pseudo-experts of whatever isn't good for the community.

Even if you look at Wunderground it does not specifically tell when the rain will start or stop in the game. For example, the game may have the rain starting and stopping in the middle of the race, but in Wunderground it'll just show green bars of rain throughout.

Old iGP used to have decent weather data, especially on the live viewer, and that was somehow removed in the new iGP. Pre-race I believe the weather info & forecasting could be improved, especially since it's become a gamble with weather in practice not coinciding with weather on the grid at times, in addition to the lack of live in-race weather forecasting.

Strategy should be based on decisions made based on available data. There is always an element of luck in changeable weather conditions, but it shouldn't be a blind lottery.

Marry me. That's exactly what I think.
Of course I know where to look in live if needed, but it shouldn't be like this.
To my mind weather should not be managed like this by the devs, but if it is so, then give us the rain level in practices. It's a minimum.
