Hi everyone,
i'm new in iGP manager and i'm trying to understand how it works, especially the car setup.
How wing level and ride height affect car's speed and downforce? Are they linked with tyre consumption?
Thanks

Car setup is very basic in the new iGP. Just follow your driver's preference. In wet weather you'd have to increase both though.
I'm not a setup guy; more of a strategy person. But I know the general understanding is that for wing levels: the more wing you add, you get more downforce but it also comes with more drag (or air resistance), and vice versa. This is why tracks like Italy have low wing levels, as lower wing levels while leading to lower downforce, also give lower drag, allowing you reach higher speeds. In Italy's case the wing preferred level should be 1 in most people's cases.
As for ride height, normally higher ride height is used for bumpier circuits so that the floor won't continuously scrape against the road and damage the chassis. But in general you'd want as low a ride height as possible to maximize handling and aerodynamic efficiency, which is the case for less bumpy circuits. This is why you see many sports cars with low ride height, and many SUVs and off-road vehicles with higher ones.
From the setups in iGP, the game seems to follow that general understanding, but I'm unsure how and how much exactly those setup parameters affect performance. I also don't know how and how much they affect tyre consumption, but it seems the Tyre Economy design stat is the primary determinant of tyre consumption. The safest bet is to still follow your driver's preference, and the general consensus is that they perform best if they're running with their preferred setup.
