Hey there, currently I am having a very strong car. All arears are between 88 and 93%. The problem I have right now is the development of the car for the next season. I am fully developing for next seasons car since race 1. But right now I only have values between 1 and 13 %. If this is going on like that, I will have a car with max 20-30% for next season.

This is very unrealistic. From a Red Bull to a HRT in just 1 season.

Any help or hints for avoiding this? I am having 109 designers right now with a skill of 15. Lead designer is level 5.

Well there isn't really much you can do to avoid this. Obviously you can improve your designers and chief designer, but beyond that you've just got to go with what you have.

Some people will have a more conservative approach each season, and constantly have a car which is above average but never perfect, so it's all about how you want to do it.

Well, OK... but TBH, this is not realistic. Top teams don't fall off that much.

You are forgetting there is difference in budget between topteams and not-topteams.

This is a game and the game would suck if the number one team has a big advantage next season to win again and again.

By letting people make a choice between this season and next season it is more in the hands of the managers.

+ if every1 had 100% car every season would be just as well not having any designers, or allowing you to choose whether to develop this year/next year

Plus, not only that, it's not merely about car development. The best managers will always find a way to be competitive. I've been fighting pretty much there or there abouts at the top in my league for the last 6 seasons, and I've been fighting the same teams, mainly because they are the best guys, and will always find a way to be or reach the top through a season.

i'll tell you now haveing the best car dont make you the best team, we have a team in our league that has 100% for everything and has had it from the start of the season and well. heres how gd he's doing

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=league-standings/156#tab3 - He's American Ski team, not won a race and aint no where near the top, so point proved i think

It's the position of the button that counts. Nearer to "This Season" means more devlopment for this season.....& vice versa

I developed a 50% car for the start of this season, now, despite having my designers working on next seasons car from the start of this season, I'm due to end up with a 19% car for next season.

Ridiculous.

How many designers do you have? + how much experience does your chief designer have, + what skill do your designers have? all make a difference

Currently fielding 131 designers. I don't doubt the math.

The whole system is done, so a superteam winning a year is by all means NOT a superteam next year as well.

Its done to avoid teams to win five championships in a row. A "systems against boredom".

I had to get used to it as well, but....I like it. It keeps it interesting and you must make a decision. You can go for winning the championship, but you might find yourself going a class down at the end of the following season.

So...be wise! What's the title worth? Can you compensate?

Yes, its not "real", but...from my point of view....its much better than "real".

The funny thing: You can have a 100% car and not winning the title, because another one developed it as well to 100%.
And you could find yourself being demoted end of following season anyway...

I like that. From Hero to Zero. One could say: "Don't be greedy, if you not strong enough to face the possible consequences."

:-)
