I've noticed that the game is getting sleeker and more modern graphics pretty much every month and the new car designer seems really detailed (and imo it kind of sticks out compared to the rest of the website) especially considering you can't see the damn cars during a race lol! I just wonder if this game is slowly going to moving towards 3d in race graphics just like Motorsport Manager. I'd welcome it if it wasn't laggy.

If you zoom in you can see 2d overheads of the cars.

But still, this is only a 2d overhead while the livery editor is in 3d. I doesn't make much sense to have a 3d liv editor when you can only ever see them in 2d imo

If I recall correctly the game was originally being built to be in 3D. It was a time consuming task. There used to be an investor in iGP Manager, and the investor wanted to begin seeing returns, so they had to go with 2D instead. Eventually Jack bought back the shares of the company held by the investor. This is all news from when iGP Manager was a browser only game and was in its older format not streamlined for mobile devices back in 2011/12. Whether or not the game can still be 3D today, I am not sure...can mobile devices even handle 3D races? I guess there are some games (like CSR) but it'd be such a battery hog...so maybe it is extremely unlikely, so probably the only aspect of the game that will be 3D is the livery editor.

Mobile devices can handle 3D pretty well nowadays and the 2D iGP live viewer isn't exactly battery friendly either. The big problem is rather all the dev time needed for the change. Aside from the 3D assets it's a whole new race viewer and game logic because things like cars passing through each other would look a lot worse in 3D.
