Here's my two cents on how I think de drivers could have an extra dimension.

I'd like to see extra 'special abilities' which are not trainable (or at least very hard to train). For example:

- Good starter: the driver has a better chance to have a good start, depending on his 'startlevel'.
- Raindriver: just like in the real world, some drivers are just a little better in the rain than others. So again, how higher the raindriving level, the better the driver will perform in wet circumstances.

You could also make them as traits, something like if the driver has the trait 'good starter', he wil get a 5/10% chance to have a good/better start.
This way you could also get a negative trait like a 'bad raindriver' which will decrease your laptimes ( and/or get a higher chance for a spin).

I'd also like to see that the cars are able to make contact. Some could argue it would be a bit random, but I think it would make a race more exciting to watch.
Numerous factors would determine the likeliness of an accident like:
- The attack/defence rate of both drivers
- The push level
- The experience of both drivers
- Maybe a new attribute like "caution", or this could be implemented in the experience.

I have no idea how easy/hard it would be to make these changes, or if other players like these ideas too.
If someone has any suggestions of improvements, I'd like to hear them!

Happy new year everyone!

I actually believe that the game already has hidden attributes. I've had many drivers and some, even with very similar or lower level and attributes, are just quicker than others. My drivers now are both level 20 but one of them is 5kg heavier. Heavier driver occasionally beats the lighter one, even though lighter drivers are usually faster in iGP. So there must be some secret, hidden way the game differentiates the speed of certain drivers...

Your idea of making this effect stronger and more specific is good and would completely change how important drivers are, but I already hate trying to find good CD's xD, I'd lose my mind if I had to do the same for money grabbing drivers. Also, imagine if the game decided to change both of my expensive drivers into bad starters or bad qualifiers! This would be very frustrating for me at least

I got the same feeling. Someone in my league has a driver who is 15!!kg heavier than my drivers and has the same stats, but he is almost invincible. Straight from the start he's just 0.3-0.5 sec. per lap faster than anyone else, even his own teammate (also with comparable attributes, while he is also 13 kg lighter). Very strange :p

But I think it would be nice to know what makes him so good. So if there are hidden attributes, maybe they could expose them.

And ofcourse it would be a real shame when your good current drivers would gain a negative trait, especially when in your case you have full level 20 drivers. But in my opinion it would make the drivers themselves (and also the search for a good driver) more interesting. Now if you've got two level 20 drivers, I think there is no reason why you'd search for a new one (unless the driver gets too old or too expensive).

I'm fine if the game actually told you what makes one driver faster than the other. So it doesn't change the pace of the driver but it still displays why they are slower in certain areas and quicker in others. I also agree that this would make it more interesting and easier to buy good drivers.
