Yeah, why?

I just had a race where admittedly some of the things that went tits up were down to me, however why does the pit strategy box keep resetting when you turn it off? Why does it still keep saying youre about to pit when you dont need to or haven't selected it? Why, when I tell the game I want to pit from soft>soft tyres does it decide to put wets back on from earlier on in the race? And howcome (from the same incident I think) when I tell it to put 59l in the car does it put in 44l? There were countless things that scewed me (and a couple of others) out of a decent finish in that race. I've had 13 races this season and i'd say over half of them have been affected by something happening in the race that I didn't want happening. Practically every single pit stop now im shitting myself (excuse the exaggeration) because its came to a point where I fully expect it to put the wrong fuel in, or put me on wet tyres in what has been a completely dry race.

Man, just what the hell.

Last race I was in, 2 laps after a full pitstop, the driver simply went into the pits to do another pitstop outside the strategy. Just crapped everything on a solid run that I was at. To further up the problem, this happened in the middle of some choke ups from the server, so I couldn't force the driver to not pit.

Then, on chat, people told me that this is a recurring bug that still isn't sorted by the dev team, despite someone saying that it was to be fixed on this Q1 patch.

Can one of the devs please explain this thing? I saw it happen with other people, and now it happened to me.

No, its not related.
I was doing a solid race.. hanging in 8th place within fighting distance. 1st pitstop went just fine, then just 2 laps later, without further notice, the driver just went for another pit, outside of the strategy.Just got hugely fucked over, because now I had to do a 3rd pitstop. To compound my problem even further, this happened in a middle of a lag spike of the server. So.. I couldn't do anything about it.

I had a similar problem in my race did my first stint fine, pitted in for hard tyres and then for no reason and outside the pitstop schedule i pitted for soft tyres three laps later.  Note- I wasn't online at that moment so i don't know if it was a connection problem

This bug seems to be progressing.

Since this game came out there have been a number of incidents where my driver and others would come in at the end of the race, with one lap to go, even though looking at the post-race analysis he certainly had enough fuel and fresh enough tires to continue. For whatever reason this was never fixed.

Just today myself and another manager encountered a different version of this bug. I ordered my driver to pit a lap early, he came in on the next lap for his scheduled stop. Two laps later, apparently both out drivers decided they wanted to come in again. Neither of us had a puncture, and fuel was a non issue. I was able to reconnect from one of the countless lagspikes in time to cancel the pit order, he wasn't so lucky.

I'm terribly sorry about this.  There was a problem with the new live controls applet on the Timing page.

In certain situations the applet would issue a command to the server as though you had pressed the pit button.  This should not have affected anyone who was only using the full 2D viewer.

I've also fixed a related bug where the pit buttons would appear as PITTING in certain situations when the viewer refreshes.

There is still a problem with drivers not pitting though.

My last race was a good example. I won the race fine, but at the end of the first stint I noticed the guy in second place (who I can clarify was not using 1D or 2D) ran out of fuel on the track. His driver simply didn't pit, so we can't blame him for accidentally unticking the pit button since he wasn't even in there spectating the race :/

Well, atleast I don't think he was using 1D or 2D. If he was there I could not see his name.

^ That guy there.

Edit: Nevermind. I looked at the wrong driver. This guy was using 1D or 2D, so he must have told his driver to not pit.

@Jason: Me & Nico both replied to your thread yesterday, asking for more information on driver/screenshot and whether you were using 2d/1d or neither?

*Moved back to bugs*
