I think suppliers must be visible to other teams. It isn't a secret on motorsport who gives teams the engines, tyres, fuel. It's part of their sponsorship budget in most cases. I also believe it should be locked at least for one race so it would help to develop the right strategy. What do you think?

I agree, it should be visible.

I disagree, it shouldn't be visible.

Drawing a comparison with motorsport doesn't really work imo, Ferrari knew which engine Mercedes used but they didn't know exactly how much of their performance was down to the engine (I'm sure they had a damn good idea though). Within the game you can see exactly what effect all the suppliers have.

I also think it's good to have some things hidden to encourage some variety,

As to locking supplier contracts, a good idea. (There's a stickied thread with a poll on this subject)

I agree with I B...Suppliers should be hidden in my view.

It adds to the mystery of not knowing exactly what Suppliers your opponents are using, and also this secrecy, can be used for a tactical advantage.

What about an after-race report?

You will be able to work it out as a season progresses by what people have maxed out to 100. Were on Monaco in our season and I know my main rival, has not chosen to invest in suppliers that boost his acceleration. Simply because he has already maxed his design up to 100 for acceleration.

In terms of real motorsport even at the grass roots levels you can work out where your competitors are gaining there advantage, be it tyres or chassis. The guys in F1 now exactly where merc or redbull are quicker. It's how Mclarean know they had one of the top chassis last year.

Totally agree. I think that, as Ferrari example, it would be great to know how far in performance terms are us after a race. Not just the points we've gained or a %. I'd like and hybrid of the old development section and the new one, taking into account this.
