Could we expect any christmas discount for a short time. Currently the full price seems quite steep?

Thanks.

just playing my second race, and really is no fun whatsoever without 2d...

its not so much the \'watching the cars\' its teh live strategy....without 2d, im afraid, i will not be able to play for a whole lot longer....

sorry to moan....

heard about this game on another forum...high hopes, but im afraid other will feel the same...

i do however understand that there has got to be a way for the developer to make some money.....im just not sure you will have alot of takers....

I\'m in the same boat...  LOVED the 2D...  Not even remotely priced right.  I\'d pay $5-10/Yr for it but seriously...  I pay just a hair more than the current price for iRacing.

Also... I just got into Gpro as well. I\'d really like to see the technical setup of Gpro with the 2D interface you have here...

2D is cool... Game seems as if there\'s something missing. I\'m sure it will get better with time so I\'ll most likely stick around but your pricing model is WAY off.

I dont know how much longer I will be around without the 2d. I could understand if it was 2.50-5 $ a month but the price is WAY to steep for something you can only play a maximum of once per day, once you have your team set up there isnt a whole lot you can do. There is no way I will ever pay that much money for something I would barely get to spend time on. 2d was awesome, but not worth the very steep prices.

\"Rasmus
Could we expect any christmas discount for a short time.

We will be running promotions and competitions occasionally, stay tuned on iGPManager.com and our Twitter feed for advance notice.

@ Don- I think on some level your expectations are unrealistic, allow me to explain why:
Whilst iRacing and GPRO are both great products, their requirements are different. We run detailed simulations of the entire environment with attributes for each car and driver, multiply that by thousands of races and you start to see why it\'s not cheap to run. We\'re using processing power 24/7. When you play iRacing, all of the simulation is done on your PC and then sent to iRacing. When you watch GPRO races the servers are delivering html pages, not simulating races. Our servers are simulating every car in every race, with dynamic environments, and possibly under more load than both of these services as a result.

Despite how much more intensive our system is relative to other products, we provide it to you cheaper than GPRO supporter per race. GPRO supporer being 0.40 EUR per race, with iGP Manager\'s 2D pack costing as little as £0.13 per race, depending on how frequently you race. Not to mention that iGP Manager free has essentially the features of GPRO supporter. I think our price is very fair when considering all of the above facts and figures.

@ Andrew - In 2012 we\'ll be releasing a friendly race system, which will allow you to race multiple times per day outside of leagues, should you wish. :)

I hope that explains your concerns on pricing, and as we continue to develop the service you\'re going to see more features that rival sites cannot replicate, because they don\'t simulate like we do.

Could you maybe consider making it possible to pay by-race basis? Like 5, 10, 20-race package, this way people that do not race that often (maybe 1-2 times a week) would also get reasonable price, now the price goes through the roof very fast for such players.

Also, maybe you could consider making some kind of \"live strategy\" package between livetiming and 2D package, so that people could tweak setup during race but would not get full 2D feed. Tire %, fuel %, livetiming and strategy options would be all that is needed.

Just some ideas I had.

Mart.

This matter isn\'t unique to iGP Manager, Mart. Every subscription based service is like this. The less you play, the more it\'s gonna cost per hour.

Of course it is not unique, that does not mean iGP cannot implement some features others tend to not offer.

Damn, I wrote a long message, only to not being posted, I wonder why.

So, I will write it again... [sigh... and a few curses]

I agree with Jack. I really appreciate the work him and Andrew are putting in the game. The 2D viewer is simulated, unlike GPRO and F1Time, who, although great games in itself, are more like big databases, not real time simulators. I came here a bit earlier and I see the amount of work Andrew and Jack put in the game, it\'s really something to appreciate. Real time simulators, and especially complex ones like iGP, require a lot of processing power and this doesn\'t come cheap. On another note, paying via Paypal, Moneybookers, etc. will tax iGP some fees by those companies, for delivering money. On low amounts, the money iGP is making is quite negligible. I really understand both sides, in my country salaries are very low, but I do realize the big amount of work Andrew and Jack are putting in this game and the money it cost to run the server. I haven\'t seen any adverts on the game yet, so this is sustained so far from the developers\' pockets and the 2D should pay for at least a part. Just my two cents.

im glad my opinion has been shared, and agreed with....but do appriciate teh developmers comments.

I could suggest, perhaps, pay/play leagues, where by, you pay a fee, say £2.00 to enter, and the 2d comes as part of the package, for that league only, and for 1 season, when its over, its over....almost an alternitive model....

anyway, will keep going for a week or so see how i feel....

thanks for your feedback jack, it really looks to be the beginning of a very good, and popular game....

I do hope we can keep you on board Dean as your comments and ideas have been very helpful.
The fee structure will continue to be debated and hopefully most problems will be resolved.

When i clicked 2D view during the race I\'ve had only livetiming so I couldn\'t try live strategies etc.
I would like to have some fun in this game but pricing is completely unacceptable. Maybe if this product was like 10 times more complex but now is hugly overpriced. I pay less for iRacing now. Anyway good luck to staff.

I don\'t want to jump the gun because there is a lot yet to be decided.  I just want to point out that some of the features that are being requested here have been planned for some time and we expect to make them available over the coming months.  So just bear in mind that the game is evolving and we take your opinions and suggestions very seriously.
