"Meteorólogo - Ayuda para advertir probabilidad de lluvias en carrera, idear una estrategia e intuir que neumático usar."
(Create this publication in Spanish, which is my mother tongue, I will see if it is understood with Google Translator since it is an idea that I raised and that many found interesting).
Hello managers, I wanted to share an idea that came to me thanks to the unexpected races with rain. I hope you are interested and if you like, you can reach the developers through a moderator.
Currently the game does not show how many m.m (millimeters) of water is on the track, the only information available to a manager is the simple icon of the cloud with drops or the sun and the lap times in the tests.
On several occasions it has happened to me that before the race, more precisely in the tests, it is dry, and suddenly rain or vice versa (Surely many of you has succeeded). I have had several headaches with that, to try to decipher what is happening on the track at that precise moment to perform them with the right compound and get the best data to use the strategy.
The current method to know if it rains or not, is to try with "i" and "W", even with some dry compound (since it may not rain but there is still water on the track).
In this moment and version of the game, if you want to know exactly how many m.m of water there is on the track, you will know it by watching a race in real time, which takes place on that precise occasion.
Knowing that it is a strategy game, I had the idea of implementing a staff member, the "Meteorologist".
I consider it a good idea to implement having a meteorologist, and continue with the same format as the rest of the staff, while more stars, experience and knowledge will give more information about what may be happening in the circuit.
It also occurred to me that a specific section of meteorology could be placed in the team's headquarters, or it could be replaced, merged, or modified along with the offices and lodging -which I do not notice much validity solely for improving morale-.
The section of the barracks will basically give little or very good information according to the level in which the improvement is.
Since at this moment the game is based on the real weather data of each region of each circuit, maybe you could merge that data according to your headquarters, so you can know more accurately what happens in the circuit. Better level, more accurate information.
As for the Meteorologist, I would also add the option of what will happen later in the race (everything depends on the characteristics of the meteorologist, the information that is proportional to their level, stars and attributes, so as not to give more information. or less) to decide a possible strategy in case it is predicted that it stops raining or that it is about to rain during the race or within X minutes, to choose the most accurate tire compound, and to foresee a possible pit stop mandatory and without consent, being more sure that it can happen in a couple of laps to have a strategy devised previously.
It also usually happens that it starts to rain in the classification - or it stops raining -, and the rain and dry strategies are totally different. At that time it is not allowed to modify anything of the setup, if or if you should wait for the race to begin.
Basically the function of the meteorologist in the game will be to take charge (according to their level of stars and attributes) to inform the manager that happens at that moment in the circuit to help you, in a certain way, to choose the right tire compound for the tests according to the information provided, in the same way inform you what can happen in a few minutes or during the race, to put together a possible strategy in case you predict rain within a couple of laps or stop raining within a certain Time (To avoid a live shock and ask yourself the question in a split second of: What do I do now? Do I enter the pits or wait? Intermediate or Full wet?).
The easiest thing would be for the icon with the m.m of rain to appear in the test section. Or improve, merge the system of meteorology with the "ideal configuration" (which costs 3 tokens). It could be more expensive in tokens to be both data but it will give you better information, but, make two different sections.
A clear example that would come very well a meteorologist is Belgium, that time there is a mystery. In other circuits you may not need it, but that is not known.
Here my last option I see more practice to implement for developers (the place the water level icon on the track).
Anyway I consider to give even more strategy to the game, the meteorologist, from my current point of view, is a very interesting idea so that, in the future, it is implemented in the game. What do you think?
