Hi there,

I've recently taken over a league with around 6 regularly active teams and around 5 that join in as and when, with two cars each. After the previous season two of us were promoted to Pro, with just the two in Pro league now. All the rest are in Rookie. Seems a bit of a shame as the last season we were starting to become more active as a league.

Is there any way of being able to demote ourselves, or will we automatically be demoted if we don't get more players into the Pro league? I'd hate to have to race with just the two of us. I've noticed the option to disable promotion and demotion so in an ideal world I'd like us two in Pro to move back down to Rookie and then uncheck this box for now at least.

Any suggestions? Is reset team still an option? If so I've had a look and can't find it.

Thanks for your help.

The only way to get demoted is to have enough players in Pro to activate demotion. So in a 2 car league with promotion/relegation activated, if you had 14/16 teams, none will be demoted as there are not enough teams to warrant relegation. Until you get 15/16 where at least 1 team will be demoted, as the bottom 2 teams in a full 16 team tier would be demoted from my understanding.

You seem to have a decently sized Rookie tier for a new league, so best bet is to keep promotion activated so that you'll get Rookie managers promoted to Pro after each season. Also keep advertising your league on the forum's Leagues section to have a chance of getting some new managers to fill the tiers.

In hindsight perhaps you might have liked to have deactivated promotion/relegation when all the teams were still in Rookie. But with time you should be able to get more teams to fill up the higher tiers through promotions & hopefully influx of new managers.

All the best.

(Sorry for deleting your comment)

People go into the tier they already where in when joining a new league, this is only different when somebody is in the relegation sone, then he'll get dropped to the tier he was going to relegate too.
