Hi,

I have a general question about how the design percentages work when you:
a) go into a new season of the same league
b) go into a new season in a different league
c) do anything else that might decrease the figures

From what I have seen the percentages stay the same for (a) when you stay in the same league. I went to a different league after my last season ended (as there was hardly anyone there left to race with) and I lost a bunch of percentages on my designed components (b). I take it this is done to deter people from swapping leagues all the time. Is there anything else that decreases your design percentages? (c)

Also, what happens when (or if) you reach 100% of a component. Will it just stay there for the rest of the game (unless you go to a different league)? Or does it decrease at some other point?

And what happens at the end of the season if you are in the "green" section of an Elite competition. From what I understand you can't be promoted above Elite? or can you?

Thanks,
Mr T

When you reach 100% development stops, even on the next season.

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=rules 2.1 Car Design... Answered questions below though

a/ your car starts with whatever next season % you are on when the last race finishes

b/ your car is scaled depending on the amount of races completed, to stop you changing leagues and always running a 100% car [although after your season finished, you would have your next season car anyway so it would most probably not scale]

c/ your design % never decreases [apart from the 2 situations above]

When you reach 100% design of a component you get the achievement [+ still get a 1% increase to next seasons car] and at the end of the season you will lose that car, and move onto your new car [based on the next season performance %]

Also if you finish in the "green" in Elite you currently get +100 reputation

Really? That's incredibly daft if that's the case.

There's a certain point beyond which there stops being any reason to spend money. Or care about money. I have $136 million and nothing to really do with it (well, OK, level 8 in three races' time, that'll do 40 million of it).

Ok Brady, so let me see if I understand? If I stay forever in the league I am now without going anywhere else I will eventually get to 100% on every component (as will everyone else but at different times) and then there will be nothing to do design wise for the rest of the time I play the game (unless I change leagues).

Regards,
Mike.

Allow me to explain further [and enjoy the poor photoshop attempt]

There are 2 different % use the image above as reference [not my team before any1 wonders how i'm winning with a bad car]

Model & Performance = THIS SEASONS PERFORMANCE
10 = The season
B = The part number this season [starting at A, and going alphabetically everytime you get a performance upgrade]

Next Season Performance = WHAT YOU START NEXT SEASON WITH

Using the same image as example and your league information

Model & Performance will continue to increase until 21st MAY [Day of final race]

After FINAL race, for arguements sake call it the 22nd MAY, your next season performance will become Model & Performance & Next seasons performance will be reset to 0% like so, although model will change from 10B etc above to 11A
*insert poor photoshop here*

So the longest you will EVER have a 100% car will be the 17 races of 1 season, although this pointless as the next season your car will be ~10% and then you have a big risk of relegation

Hope this explains it better
