I just ask because there is a team in my current league that has not only won every single race, but has set the majority of fastest laps, and does this on the last lap, on worn tires. Anyone else run into a setup where you just flew far beyond everyone else in the field? I've seen teams dominate in past seasons, but I've never seen something of this magnitude.

Just had a look at your league. I can see the guy you're talking about but I can't see what you're talking about. His best laps aren't anything phenominal at all. I dare say he probably has a 100% car and chances are he may be the most experienced guy in your league (or the highest level I mean)

I imagine he used all his kers the whole way round last lap, plus his car is so good probably not pushing as hard & saving up for that glory lap at the end with full kers & full push
But he is still 3 seconds slower than lap record i think

Maybe. Looking around, his driver is much less experienced than others in the league (mine included), he's done 49 races, I've done 101. And my spy efforts show a car that is less developed in most areas than mine. That's why I wanted to ask if anyone had run into a setup that just "clicked" before. I was wondering if he had deduced the exact setup needed for each track.

I am pretty sure there isn't just one ultimate setup. Every single race I do, my drivers report back with everything "feels good" after my testing. I don't think I could get any better setup than that. He probably just has a 100% car and great drivers. Unless you can see his drivers statistics, it's impossible to tell how good they are. You can't really tell much by looking at the driver level or the graph shown - You need to see the specific details (stamina, reflexes, talent, focus and all that)

More experienced managers might begin their set-up by loading from a previous race on the same track, but there is no perfect set-up as each race depends on the driver and the weather etc.

There definitely is no 'ultimate setup'. Different drivers like different setups on their car, which will help them get the most out of their car.
As everyone else has explained, it's probably more due to the drivers, which has nothing to do with the level of the driver.

As proven this year by Alin, ignoring the 1 race he wasnt here he won 11 in a row, FACT that he's also not had the best car all season, and we've all run similar strategys
