AS you know there is the "AT WHAT LEVEL OF WATER SHOULD YOU CHANGE TO A CERTAIN TYRE" and "AFTER HOW MANY LAPS OF NOT RAINING SHOULD IT PIT TO AN CERTAIN TYRE" planing options. I feel that they should the option of picking "AFTER HOW MANY LAPS OF START OF RAINING SHOULD IT PIT TO A CERTAIN TYRE" so that if you cant be present at the race and it starts raining that you can be more prepared

I agree otherwise they pit too early

Yes, i mean like you set the auto pit to pit too inters on 1mm but then the lvl rises to 3mm and its slower than wets, or you set the wets for 3mm but for the time of 0 to 3mm you are super slow

so i feel that you must be able to choose 1.what tyre to pit when start raining 2. tyre to pit when reaching a certain lvl.3. tyre to pit when it stops raining

I agree having 2 tier wet track tyre choice would be beneficial...  I have lost track of the number of times at strategy lockdown the track has been dry and by the time the race starts, there is a 3mm+ water depth...

It would also be good if we could have a change of the change to dry tyres too, using a water depth rather than number of laps after the rain stops...

yes yes yes, water depth rather than laps wil be much better, cos many times the race track reached 5mm and then it stops, wets are stil better but cos of your auto pit you set, it pits to a tyre that is not right for condition

The problems outlined are common to everybody who is not attending every lap in a mixed weather race (I attend the vast majority and would recommend it). Players who don't attend are already penalised enough by not being able to optimise tyre and fuel use, control boost use, and manage DRS gaps. But the penalty for being on completely wrong tyre is so huge that it dwarfs all others.

The suggested change to pit instructions to be based on rain depth would solve this.

0mm= dry

5mm = wet

0.1-5mm the player should choose the 2 'crossover' points (slick to inters and inters to wets). This could be done with a multi-coloured slider bar and a dry tyre selection drop box (for transition to dry tyres, so this can be different to planed strategy that did not take into account the weather change).

Great point. We should be able to form a backup plan.
