Hey,

Is there an issue at all with the weather system? I've noticed on the last couple of races I'm in (IGP Champions) the weather forecasts are different to real world weather by a few degrees, and don't deviate at all from the moment it goes to the new location until race time; is this meant to be, or is it something wrong?

Yes ... no way OZ is only 10 degrees ....

I've checked online ... should be firestorms and the four horsemen!

I agree guys.

Something has happened to the weather.

It's like the temps stay constant the whole day.  There is no variability to it. There's no chance of mixed conditions races. I wonder if this was done to make the game more stable in peak hours?

the weather is measured at the track not the city. maybe its because of that

Checked if the weather changes with todays race and indeed the weather and temp didn't move at all for our Turkey race all day. Even though all weather services I looked up, including WU, reported thunderstorm and light rain for the hours before the race but nothing of it in iGP. Also Bahrain (19th June), Spain (21st June) and Monaco (25th June) all show at moment the exact weather as it was during training before the race, China (18th June) and all races before, of this season, show, at least slightly, different weather data now.

The weather is not real. At least it isn't anymore. It used to be that it followed the Wunderground internet weather service give or take 15 mins but that's not true. I was sitting in a hotel in Melbourne during a race a few months ago. It said it was 24 degrees and sunny. Outside my window it was 9pm at night and pissing down raining. I think something is broken or they're pulling our leg.

I think the weather is completely stuck. The conditions for the tracks I mentioned above are still all the same.

We have disabled changing weather conditions until further notice, this was done by one of the engineers on the team without properly informing the users. I will be posting a formal announcement in a moment and clarifying this in my next blog.

It is part of our efforts to improve the experience overall, along with what we are doing to improve stability at peak times by removing inactive players.

The weather has been a frequent source of complaints when it changes from sun to rain, and so to stop this from being an issue we have frozen the conditions temporarily, until a solution is implemented.
