We have frozen weather conditions in their current states until further notice. It is part of our efforts to improve the experience overall, along with what we are doing to improve stability at peak times by removing inactive players.

The weather has been a frequent source of complaints when it changes from sun to rain, and so to stop this from being an issue we have frozen the conditions temporarily, until a solution is implemented which we are satisfied addresses all concerns that have been raised with how the system was functioning.

Jack,

Any plans to have some sort of pre-race report on track conditions? Thinking of situations where it's raining during quali, but there is no indication of how deep water is, so difficult to set at strategy.

What does “frozen in their current state” mean? Does it mean no more wet or changeable weather conditions at all until further notice?

If no races are raining currently, then yes that is what it means. The conditions won't be changing.

This game is becoming more & more boring, one of the few joys left was a good changeable weather race. I hope to see the updates soon!

The only problem for me is not knowing the amount of rain and the uncertainty before the race. The weather should remain stuck at 15 minutes from the race, for departure. Then it can vary during the race

Rain was one of the fun parts. After so many seasons its getting pretty boring withouth new track. Rain made it fun.

Something strange happening since the weather was frozen. 2 drivers in the same car are seeing up to 1 second difference on practice laps (across all tests and tyres, not random). You could say it is a slow driver, but testing some time later they swap!

In addition, 1 team who has had similar pace to the rest of the field is now suddenly way faster than any other team since the frozen weather. Do they have different weather to everybody else?

What gives?

How much will this "frozen" condition last? It's boring to race knowing that the weather'll not change.

Same here.   Even though the changing weather sometimes screw up training laps    it also changes te outcome of races and thats always a plus.  It needs more strategy during the race ,  and i want it back too

Yeah, sorry about that. :D We are working on getting the weather live again as soon as possible, so you might have seen a couple of changes in conditions in the last hour.

We're making good progress but I'm not convinced it will be ready today.

Thats great!

Can I ask that you maybe give like 24hr notice to re-enabling changing weather?

Great. Maybe a little notice would have been nice! Screwed my race and many others!

The fact that it was picked up by the live servers was unintentional. We were deleting the conditions immediately during tests so they could only have been up for a few seconds. Unfortunately the service must have picked it up in a fraction of a second when it was loaded in. I can only apologise for that.

We will of course give proper notice when it is ready to go live again.
