I m following the austrian grand prix on tv...and i m surprised that pilots are only allowed to use soft...super soft...and ultra soft on this grand prix...but in this game that is a management game...i m sorry to say that it s not realistic because medium tyres and hard tyres are better ...faster than others...is this a really realistic game or there is always a tip to win with quality tyres that are not supposed to be faster...

For one this is a game. If it'd be really simulating F1 it'd be boring as hell. Then the tyres are behaving quite different. You can't really conserve tyres in iGP. Then the compounds are quite different. Take Monaco, a track present in the game as well. In iGP you can't really pull off a one stop even on hards even without taking fuel weight into account, in F1 they did it with a hyper soft-ultra soft or hyper soft-super soft. Our tyres are much more soft than the rather hard and durable Pirellis, our hard is about between their super soft and soft, which does make sense because iGP does refuelling and F1 does not. There it's all about grip and durability vs the least pit stops possible, at best just the required one. Here fuel weight, which has more influence than in reality, sets the limit much sooner and thus a tyre lasting half a race and more, like ultra soft and super soft are already often capable to manage in real F1 with the right car and some conserving, would be quite useless.
