Last race my driver dropped 8 places on the first lap.
Considering he was on soft compared to the majority on hards around its very strange and completely ruined my race. Every rated 20 bar exp which is 14.
(I've seen drivers with less talent and exp seem to not suffer this fate so assume exp isn't solely an issue)
Ive also played around with push settings at start of a race and it makes no difference what setting still suffer the same fate.

Its quite a common thing I've noticed and has a massive negative effect on my races. My drivers seem to take it in turns over the course of a season.  Near 10 seasons or so I've noticed this. Occurs in around 5 or 6 tracks a season at random.
Also what's frustrating is that its doesn't seem to happen to anyone else.

Can i get some sort explanation? Anyone else suffer the same problem?

And again dropping 6 places this time. This has got to be looked at its getting silly.

Looking at the results just gone no1 else drastically dropped places at the start so why is it only affecting me and even more confusing my more experienced driver

Hi Scott, I don't have any idea what could be causing this. Maybe the developers could look into it, but considering the only player we know at this time having this issue is you will make it difficult to diagnose.

Would you be okay if I replaced your drivers with carbon copies? Same names, stats, the whole works, at no cost to you.

Then I'd like to hear from you in the long term if the problem continues.

Sure. Hopefully it acts like a factory reset irons out any inaccuracies.  Hopefully it doesn't whipe out their race stats? Wins, championships ect.

They were academy developed. Just for future reference if anyone comes forward with the same problem.

Hi Scott.
If you're talking about your driver Hamilton in the Hungarian iGP, it wasn't dropping down the field in the first lap that ruined his race it was underfueling him so he pitted at the end of the penultimate lap when he was lying fourth having qualified sixth. I have also experienced losing positions on the first lap with both this account and my primary account, I was always of the opinion others had better design spread than me or maybe lower fuel, better drivers etc.

No it was dropping 6 places and loosing time behind slower cars trying to make it back using kers which i ultimately didn't have when it came to the crunch last lap.
I fueled for 13.8 laps but for for some reason it only put 13 laps. I could of made it without pitting but i was busy talking in game and wasn't quick enough to cancel the auto pit. School boy error there.

I experienced similar issue with my driver Lewis Hamilton he was highly trained and was very competitive but then kept losing lots of places at the start after that races were ruined in making up places. I ended up selling him.

Maybe it's connected to the name, Scott's driver is also called Lewis Hamilton :) Ended up winning the Singapore race though, even after losing 5 places at the start.

Must be the name :P

I have this issue sometimes too.  Perhaps it happens to others and I just don't pay attention / cant keep track of every driver...
