Hi! After 3 races my driver has a convincing point lead in my league. However, he will retire after this contract, and this contracthas only 7 races left. That means his contract will end before the season ends. If I replace my current driver, will the points transfer to the new driver?

If they don't transfer, I should replace him ASAP (before his contract runs out) to give his successor the more races and also more possibilities to get points, right?

I'd replace him asap - The earlier you start training a new driver the more chance he has to win the remainder of the championship. The points you have won't transfer to your new driver, but your team keeps the points, so if you're leading the championship, you'll still be leading the championship if you get rid of him.

"Changing drivers in the middle of a season is always possible, though the new driver will obviously start with 0 championship points. The points of the former driver will still count for the constructors championship"

Unless that driver is the Championship leader, you won't be losing much by replacing them mid-season.

It all depends on how you think the new driver will perform, and  how close the other drivers are in comparison to your retiring driver.

After having a look, it's only been 3 races, so you may as well change the driver, get in a nice, young driver who you can train up and then with any luck, your new driver might be at least as fast as your current one, and then consistently improve as the season progresses.

Honestly - Being level 3, and your driver only having 73% health, I dare say you'd be much faster with any driver who has 90+ % health. At those low levels I doubt any driver has high stamina, but if you can find one with good stamina and high health then you'll be much better off than with the driver you have I think.

Too late now, but what above says, you level so quickly at lower levels your better off just keeping your drivers

My original drivers lasted 16 races each, the 2 drives after that did 11 & 25 by that time leveling starts to take longer

When I'm low level I just search for the healthiest, highest talent driver I can find for my level.
