Leagues have quantitative restrictions and I understand why those exist. But it's a blessing and a curse at the same time as league owners are missing a lot of good players who can't join their leagues and good players are missing good leagues.
That's why I came up with some possible solutions:
- Create a waitlist of players willing to join, so league owners could check it and allow players in this list to join right after someone left or was kicked out. Being in this list doesn't mean that those players can't play in another league, it's just somewhat like the drivers shortlist, that would tell you about a vacant spot in a league you have tried to join earlier. Of course it would be even cooler to give league owners right to create "players priority" withing such a list, so chosen players would be able to join first.
- Give players ability to join leagues with a downgrade. So players could join a league on a lower tier if their current tier is full.
- Give league owners an option to create sub-leagues, so anyone willing to join the main one would be given a choice to join a sub-league out of which he would be able to join the main one without any penalty if the championship or the second place in elite tier was taken.
- Make it available to expand maximum league capacity to 32 players per tier (2 cars) with serious graphical downgrade and/or turning off the AI control for players that don't participate in race, so it won't involve additional game resources.
