Race viewer connection update

We are deploying background updates and this may affect viewing and participating in races. If you experience issues please close (fully exit) and relaunch the app or refresh your browser and reconnect to the races.

This is not the server migration update mentioned in another thread. It is an update intended to improve the performance of connections to races and to reduce lag in the race viewer.

UPDATE 11:06 GMT: In order to launch the update we are required to restart some of the services. You may notice your connection to the live race drop at this time. If this happens, re-launch the app completely as instructed above.

We may have to postpone the races, as you have noticed this update resulted in some errors. We have quickly rolled the update back and will be looking at what went wrong.

Have you tried clearing the cache for the app when this happens?

Update: We are about to try launching the update again. Please refer to the first post for instructions if you counter issues accessing a race viewer.

Is the black screen still happening? I can't reproduce the issue on any of my test accounts.

The races have all started now. They were up to 2 minutes late due to work ongoing on this update.

What version of Android are you using?

The home page should be fixed now. I identified that it was actually a translation issue, which is why none of my accounts could reproduce it (English). It was in the Russian translation and a couple of others.
