I am sure this has been reported before but can not find it.
Race qualified on dry tires and then when we entered the race live it was raining and we were still on dry tires. No problem with this as first lap just pit and put wets on as it was already at 5mm in rain. (Yes it was Malaysia) Now for the bug and I knew it was going to happen as it happen to me before. Before the race I set in advance settings for inters at 1mm. So even before the race started I put it on the the live chat hey I am selecting wets but I bet I come out of the pits with inters on. Sure enough it happen just as I predicted even though going into the pits I still had wets selected I come out with inters on. this of course meant next lap I have to pit yet again to get wets on.
This ends your race right there, I with out bragging have been and still are a top 4 car in my mind. I finished 3rd in Australia. I scraped home a 10th place finish today due to this silly bug that should be easy to fix. The even sadder thing is I think it effected at least two other very good managers tonight as well. This silly bug wrecks races and could wreck someones season.
When you are live at a race you choice you make should over ride the choice you made before the race starts when you are doing set ups. Now if I was not at the race and it put inters on because that what I pre selected then that my bad luck. But to be at the race and watch this happen and knew it was going to happens just SUCKS and is very frustrating. Surely this is not a hard fix??

I think part of the problem is that the game loads the settings from the advanced setup when auto pit switches on, or were it would switch on if the car wasn't already set to pit, but the settings in the pit stop tab are (often?) not getting a refresh then. So it's not visible that the game changed the settings in the background unless a player does something manually causing a refresh, like perhaps switching tabs or changing something.

Also sometimes it's lag, the manual change not arriving the server in time, but again there's no feedback telling a manager if the server is on the same page as the clients UI.

But I never gave it a chance for the auto pit to come on as i hit pit before the race even started and as soon as I hit pit it started to flash I watched the whole first lap having the box on the screen to see if it would switch from wets to inters and it did not it stayed on wets for the whole race and as it entered the pits. it then put me on inters on the stop and leaving the pits. So it is very simple the AI in advanced settings took over.
I have seen this happen 10 laps into the race where you have it set on 5mm of rain and wets, you go to come into the pits for inters as it not that wet yet and the bloody thing comes out on wets. It must be fairly easy to have a control added that if you are at a live race you can turn off the bloody AI.
The AI is a great thing if you can't make the race but it can wreck your race to many ways if your at a live race
