Designers and Mechanics

I'm on level 7 and I've got 30 designers and 30 mechanics. I've leveld up twice and I haven't had an increase in the number of designers and mechanics I can add. Is the number of workers going to stay at 30, can I increase the number, or will I get more workers when I move to level 8? 

Nevermind i found it. I don't know why I hadn't looked there before.

How do I upgrade parts?
I've got enough mechanics and engineers for the parts I wish to upgrade but ticking a box doesn't really get you far if you can't confirm it anywhere.
My parts will fail if not updated...

Go to team / staff and upgrade the amount of engineers and mechanics you have Luke. If you're in a one car team I think you need 34 engineers and 24 mechanics if you want to fit all new parts every race for a one car team. If you're in a two car team you need 68 and 48 to fit all parts for every race.

Once you've got the right amount of engineers/mechanics then go to next race / assembly, tick all the new parts you need and then save. Easy.

Okay, thanks a lot. How it hadn't updated immediately confused me but now I know :) 

And being short on money, you may want not to replace all parts for each race. Instead try to save money and move some staff to commerce department.

How do we have more than one car on a team? I have enough mechanics and designers to house two teams per race but I don't know how to do that.

It depends if you are in a one car or two car league.
