Just an interesting suggestion!!!!

After a Tyre reaches a given % wear in a race, there should be a chance that that Tyre would suffer a puncture, hence slowing down the car, but allowing the car return to the pits for an unscheduled pit stop.

The chance should be completely and totally random, but should increase in possibility as the Tyre wear increases above say 60% (or below 40%).

It would add an extra risk to the game, putting long strategies on softer Tyre's.

Any opinions on this suggestion out there?

I have seen that on rare occasions cars can suffer punctures but have only seen this 2 times before.

It can happen if the tyre is worn below 10% (I think that was the value at least). It rarely happens because way before that point the speed suffers so much there's absolutely no use to go that far on a tyre. So that value could be raised a bit, like starting from the suggested 40% mark. After the tyres got sorted out, it's not the softer compounds that need to be cut back a little bit, yet.

It could happen if someone overheats there tyres for to long blistering of the tyre then boom instead of putting push Leavel to one and waiting a lap or toother before repushing

I like the idea to have a puncture on overheated tire ;)

and for now i think we have a puncture at 0% not sure as i have long time to see.
