Hello, seeing the update of the tires and near the update of the game, perhaps it would be an opportunity to insert the ultrasoft tires. The characteristics could be the same as the old supersoft, while for the supersoft you could wear wear between the S and the US. In my view (I ride 50% races) there would not be a domination of a particular tire, but the option to use different strategies is increased.

I think we need to get the current ones right first but yes maybe in time this would be a good idea....currently there is no advantage to SS especially in 100% races so by adding another tyre compound would the deem SS useless...which as it stands has made all races with maybe 2 exceptions in 100% predictable

Infact for this I am of the idea that in addition to the insertion of this new US, could reduce the wear and tear for the SS. In doing so, there would be a variety of available strategies. Even in Monaco, where for example you go strong only with the SS, in a 50% race you could opt for a strategy to 1 stop with the SS or 2 stops with the US ... what do you think?

As I said yes definitely needs to be added in the future....but we will end up with more than 1 compound that isn't used as it is....I'm all up for unpredictable stratergy :)

Maybe before adding other compounds in, look at being more accurate with the ones we have.
Last night in a 100% race, we had S compound going faster than a SS when temp is only 7degC. If SS is for colder temp, then this needs to be consistent.  At moment S is is taking over from H for our races. 1 choice of tactic only is winning so little variation.

I bet the race is Australia :D Even in my championship we had the same anomaly, but at least decrease the wear and tear for the SS can lead to improve this tire (as I propose)... in 50% championship dominates Media tire instead

This is an old post of mine from another thread: "My whole issue is that tires are too temperature sensitive. It does not matter which type of tire I use I always end up with the same lap times, because on softs I have to use low push levels to keep temps down and on hards i run on default and see no advantage in lap times over any type of tire. Truly the whole algorithm should be looked at. I propose when running on any type of tire on default push should stay in the "grey" zone temp region. This would open up a lot more strategies to use tires and make the tire economy stat a more important stat to research. To counteract too much of an advantage of supersoft then in this scenario tire wear should increase in hot conditions and as tires heat up too much i.e go in the red zone tires wear out sooner and a less predictable tire wear as is the case now. So if you want to push harder you can, tires get hot and wear out sooner but hot tires don't slow you down until they are finished. Just as in real life the harder you push the faster you go to the detriment of tire wear. Hot tires should not slow you down they should eat your tires. So once your tires are on 0% percent is when you should start loosing a lot of time. As for the vote - equalizing tire wear according to race length is a must then the question for using two different compounds in a race becomes obsolete." Meaning that yes tire wear becomes more incalcuable as u start adjusting push levels - more push more wear, less push less wear, default push default wear.

I think this is a great idea long with what Jamie R has suggested in the Live Tyre Performance thread (more emphasis on fuel weight) however Im guessing the reason why this is not the present solution as this would take alot more time to roll out/get the coding right...but hopefully in the long term consistent solution these things will be considered a permanent solution.

As it is at the moment there is no unpredictability in the races and has got a bit stale (I only speak from 100% experience)
I hope if even temporary a fix comes soon.....
