Request in change to KERS

Greetings, I noticed that the KERS system adds temporary speed instead of Acceleration. Could this be swapped instead? Cause I like using my driver's kers to give them an extra few kph in a short time. But it seems it just adds a about 20KPH and when KERS is switched off, it simply Cliffs that extra speed.

A change: Would it be possible for KERS to give a boost to Acceleration Attribute of the car?
