Race length

I don't think it's really fair that the race length can be changed half way through a season! So my suggestion is to change it so it can't be.

Yeah. It's just been changed from 50% to 100% after 4 or 5 races of a new season. I don't have time for 100% so now need to leave the league.

This is a good suggestion. I concur.

It is hard enough to find a distance and time that you want to join to then get penalised for a reason that had you known at start you wouldn't join the league all wrong

I completely agree with this suggestion, even being a league host this should be the norm.

Any change impacting the league: Race Days/Distances/Times/Speeds and even promotion/relegation active/inactive should only take effect at the beginning of the next season.

Postpone race should be the only option that has an immediate impact.

I cant belive it can actually be changed mid season, thats got to be an oversight.

Surely any changes like that should only take place during the off-season and, really, it should be put to a vote for members of the league. Certainly, in our league any significant changes would be voted on before they took place

This is the reason we run our league as we do, as Paul mentioned we put everything to a vote, even the length of the off season, which 9/10 times is 5 days lol. Running a league this way allows all members a chance to get their vote across and the majority wins, yes its impossible to please everyone no matter what you do you're always stepping on someones toes, but having any league changes put to vote makes it the fairest way to deal with it.

In this case it was voted on, no problem if more people want longer races than not. the problem is that it shouldn't be done mid-season.

Hey, don't give iGP any ideas. what about changing the time of races because of daylight savings or postponing races during celebrations such as Christmas?

Simple, run a poll and let the majority decide. If you want a break for Christmas, Easter or Taylor Swifts birthday, vote on it, if you want to change the times of your races cos of DLS then vote on it. As Mike says, we vote on every possible change, after a debate about it.

Daylight saving time changes will change automatically according to another thread on the Forum.
