Comment your opinions below but avoid using any language that may result in an argument or the offence of another player.

By yrs I mean YES but there was a typing error.

No, I don't like it. 'Ferrari starts with the Soft compound, which this weekend is the C tyre or Super Soft, which where the Medium tyre choice last race whereas the A, the Hyper Soft, were the Softs then...' (I  just assumed that A,B,C... and so on starts with the softest and it's still rather 6 than 5 main compounds during the season, might be wrong though) or the like doesn't sound any easier to understand to me. So I guess proper information gets harder to find as less sources bother to list, or tell, which tyre is/was which compound really.

Anyway, I'm now waiting for the car trying to race with 3 Hyper Soft 'Medium' and 1 Soft 'Medium' tyre because some Pirelli staff accidentally mixed some tyre from another race into the delivery and nobody really bothered to really read the fine print beyond the colours (because after some time it's easy to just read what you think should be written/marked there instead what really is written/marked there). Might be fun (To watch or at least hear about it, not so much to drive I suppose).

True.

Also there could be issues when the teams are telling the pit crew to get the 2019 soft tyre but they might get confused and end up putting the 2018 soft on. By this I mean, that they might forget about the colour change in the first few races and end up putting a mixture of colours on the car.

Connor if they mixed the tyres do you think they would still be working at next race ;)

You guys really think train professional are going to mix tires. They practice day and night to have everything close to perfect.

I have seen them mixing up one or all the tyres (often communication error there probably) for a pit stop several times, both wrong compound and the ones from the wrong driver. Though usually someone notices it and it just causes some delay. At least current compounds are clearly different looking, once they remove the heating jackets that is. But that's happening even to the really highly trained guys, albeit under pressure, not just some Pirelli logistics dude in a factory or warehouse in Turkey or Great Britain. It also happened that some mechanic forgot to put some piece into the car, or tighten an important screw properly, without someone else noticing afterwards, so a mismatched tyre might escape their attention too.

Like what happened to Bottas, at the 2015 Belgian GP, when the Williams Martini mechanics fitted 3 SOFT and 1 MEDIUM tyre

I think it’s a great idea

I think it's much better, no need for 7 different colours if we only have 3 dry compounds each race. Though they could have kept the medium white and the soft yellow to avoid confusion.
