Hi guys, I recently upgraded to the new Macbook Pro with retina display. Unfortunately the 2D viewer is now blurry, jerky and terrible to use. On my 11" Macbook Air it is crisp and runs smoothly. While text on the iGP site is super crisp (the retina display is actually impressive) many of the images (such as the iGP logo in the top left) are blurry.

I have done some googling and this is a common problem in websites that are not 'retina ready', it seems many sites have already fixed this issue up. I'm not sure how involved the fix is, but thought I would bring it to the attention of the iGP team that as it is 2D and retina displays are a no go.

Can you post a screenshot of that, so we can see what you mean?

I hope this works....

Macbook Air image, whole image of same quality.

Macbook Pro Retina image, text in URL very clear, image below very blurry. Sorry if this one looks bigger but I guess thats the different resolution. So the whole 2D window is blurry, and the cars dont travel smoothly round the track, they stutter round.

We will see what we can do.
Your guess is correct. That has to do with the high resolution of the retina display.

I am experiencing the same issue.
MacBook Pro (Retina display)
OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
Google Chrome 21.0.1180.57
Java SE 6

I found this referencing how to make java apps work with retina displays at http://answerpot.com/showthread.php?3618786-Java+%2F+Retina+display+on+new+MacBook+Pro

The trick for getting a Java application to have high-resolution text, graphics and controls on a MacBook Pro with Retina display is making sure it has a Principal Class setting of NSApplication in the Info.plist file.

NSPrincipalClass
NSApplication

Hopefully the developers find this information useful.  Keep up the good work.
