Are these even attainable now after all the changes.  Most are over 2 years old and even when I had 2 perfect drivers I was 3-4 seconds off.

Is there a call to reset them?

The devs did a server provider change few months back and since then the pre server provider change data is no longer available and won't be available either in future.

Moved this from suggestion to help and support section.

so the real question is, how do you make your car that much quicker with out it being a glitch or hack?

Let's look at an example of real life F1 where back in the days there was a differrent formula and then the most powerful cars took to track and set the fastest times, then formulas change many times but the cars or performance never reached those limits and track records for many years even decades didn't break. Did F1 lower the track records? Did they reset them?

The answer is NO. So until a new formula or changes come into play tracks records won't be lowered or reset for anyone. Only recently we had tyre change and in future when we have another tyre change and if this time if it speeds up the lap times again lap records will break. Or it could be changes to other factors affecting lap times only devs know. Also we are in winter period at the moment so breaking lap records right now are going to a tough ask.

Bottom line tracks records shouldnt be lowered or reset.

So now you're comparing the GAME to real F1? When on many other suggestions you (Devs/Mods etc) say not to compare it to F1. It's a game, so if the cars are slower the records should be reset. If not, then delete the whole track record thing completely as it's pretty pointless

By this I thought you meant that the records were reset. How did they get the data for the previous records if this isn't the case?

The records stand as they were but each lap data for each driver for each team weren't kept as it was too much data taking allot of space.
