How do below freezing temps impact tyre performance and wear?

You shouldn't experience this in iGP because the low temperature limit in the game is 5 degrees Celsius regardless of what happens in real life.

Ok, thanks for the heads up on that, Kevin.

So does outside air temps cause any impact?  I ran SS and Softs at Silverstone last night and they were both overheating pretty quickly in 6 degree C; which seems unrealistic to me.  I guess I have more studying to do!  Lol.

I have no idea how the sim is coded but from experience I can say that I don't believe ambient temperature effects tyre wear but it does seem to make a difference to tyre temperature. This means on the same compound you can push harder in lower temperatures which in turn makes for a faster overall race time.

Silverstone is a fast circuit so even at low temperatures you have to keep push quite low on the softer compounds. You will have trouble getting any heat at all into SS at Monaco in the cold. PL4/5 for the entire race on SS.
