Please add the option to retire from the race in the Q2 update, even if it's a last minute addition/unpolished feature. I don't want to burn up car parts & driver health unnecessarily.

No way, i can see it now, 32 runners and only 10 finish the race. If you don't want ot burn up parts unnecessarily, get better at the game.

Your driver health reduces by 1% at the end of the race regardless.
But yeah go ahead install this feature, most drivers will be broke, team morale will be 0, your standing with suppliers and rep will be 0 and you would be worthless to have in a league.

Its about as worthless as having your 2nd account in the same league as your 1st account, isn't it Lyons.

Two things, it isn't my second account.
And it's more pointless to be league hopping every race.

Pointless is very much the wrong word.

I like your suggestion Michael.
There should be more discussion about this as few people have posted on this thread.

Start and parks? What is this... NASCAR?

I'd be more inclined to have an option to allow a manager not to grid for a race instead of start-and-park. The caveat being that the manager will receive negative reputation points for each GP he sits out.

I agree with Tony. It would be like a holiday mode. You're going away for a week, you won't be able to attend races or even update setups, but you don't want to leave the league or end up coming back to a car with no parts and fatigued drivers, so you just don't race and take the reputation hit and the loss of training/designing opportunities.

I agree there should be some kind of "away" mode. Automatically retiring from races though? I don't know, I'm on the fence there. What Tony said sounds a lot better, and in some cases necessary for managers. It's all well and good to argue that's not fair and you should have to be here to do it all blah blah, but we all have lives. Basically, if you're in a 7 day a week league it's pretty impossible to make it to every race forever.

Maybe atleast some kind of advanced training schedule so as you say, your drivers don't turn to crap while you are on holiday or elsewhere in the world for work etc.

Something simple with a tick box for each day you want to train in advance and a drop down menu for that day which lets you pick what category to train. Quite simply, if you don't want to set up an advanced training strat, then leaving the boxes unticked will let you do it on the fly, like we currently do.

There atleast needs to be a new training system now. I missed training the other day because I had to go away for a day and missed a race. Problem was my "training window" was within 2 hours before every race, so I couldn't just train my drivers the day before when I was still at home. Rather pissed about it to be honest, but under this new 24 hour system I could not do much about it.

if there were a retirement aspect put into the game, it should be randomly based, even if your car is good and the parts are great for 2 more races. i have lost 2 simulation championships in a retired league recently because of ingame retirements and it is just luck of the draw as it should be.

you can still retire from races and in that case such an occurance can only be done after 3 races as your suspension is usually the first piece to go.

There should be an AFK mode. However if you cant make 7 day's a week league then find a league that is sutible for your/their life. You can make 7 days a week league in this day with mobile phones ect it is very easy to refit parts and setup the car. Its nice to have advance features when you are away but this game is based on people putting the time so the more you put in the more you get out.
