So here i am in a league and i'mwinning for once but i'm not getting any income atall - i will win 1 race then not set up well for the next race and BAM i dont have much money in the account (by igp standards atlaest :-) ) and then it expects me to be able to win one race after another.

The to solve this is it needs something like an average ...

Hope i didn't ramble on...

I think what George means is that if you have won a race then the 'game' expects too much from you thereafter.  This has happened to me - if you don't keep winning or reach the high standard that the game sets for your objective then you can very quickly start losing money.

I don't think I have lost money in 6 months. It's far too easy to just skyrocket your bank balance unless you've foolishly chosen to pay your guys stupid high wages or accept sponsorships for very little.

yeh, well - in that case, some of us are stupid until we understand the game better!

He's referring to race rewards, you win a race, you better damn win all the next races or we ain't paying you.

Goddamn..

Similar thoughts here. I certainly would like to know how the game decides your race objectives. I spent the majority of my just-completed season with a car/driver package that was about 4th- or 5th-fastest by my reckoning, but my objective was frequently higher than was realistically possible. We had one manager who was Level 9 with a Level 12 driver, and another who was Level 8 with a Level 10 driver, while no other manager was higher than Level 5 or had a driver higher than 5 until the season was about half-done.

Of my 17 race objectives, I failed 7, and probably only two of those could I have passed (one I missed the race completely; the other I would have had to change pit strategy on the fly, and still might not have made it). On eight occasions I was asked to finish either first, second or third, and only two of those in events where I feel I had a package capable of doing so. Meanwhile, the guy who won the first three races (and eventually another five and both the team and driver championships) and only failed to make the podium on three occasions didn't have an objective higher than 6th place until about Turkey, and his worst result the whole season was a sole 5th place in Singapore. This with a car that was miles faster than mine. I don't think the game takes into account the potential of your competition at all, and that doesn't seem right to me. Sure, Sergio Perez was second in Malaysia in this F1 season, but no one expects him to be there all the time, or even often. The game's objectives simply don't make sense to me.

+1 James
But, to be fair on the devs, there was a lot of discussion and tweeking with this aspect of the game during testing.  I was never happy with the outcome but all the other testers were.  I always tested to play poorly (now I am just rubbish!!) but the other testers were good players and therefore got good results.  My worry always was for the player with less skill - he would soon get fed up with losing money and leave the game.  It is such a hard slog getting back on top - and for those at the top, it is too easy to stay there.

I do think the objectives need to be a lot (lot) tougher for the winners and a bit more lax for the 'losers'.
