Okay so just saw this scenario; a driver was put up to auction from about 5 mil, then with people fighting over him got it up to 12 millions.

How much money does the seller get from an auction like this?

You can only ever receive the initial starting auction price for that member of staff or driver, even if the bidding goes higher. This is to prevent players from creating multiple account and abusing the game to accumulate high amounts of cash for free.
