Pitting when you have 4L and the lap only takes 3.6L is pretty stupid. Please fix the code to not round and make a mistake.

It may well be that at pit entry you have 4L left, but by the time you get to the start/finish line, there maybe less then 3.6L in the tank, and therefore not able to complete that extra lap.

A better idea whould be to show fuel as a three decimal number, i.e. 4.00L rather than 4L.

Just to correct you, that's a two decimal.

Indeed. Because wether the OP had 3.1, 3.5 or 3.9L of fuel in his tank, his 2D would have always shown 4L until his actual fuel was 3.0

I agree with OP 100% !!!

If you do not watch the race live, you're screwed to either pit again or be slower during a stint...

Actually, 2D rounds down, not up. I've crossed the line in the pit lane with 0L displayed before.

True.

Absolutely needs a decimal point in 2D though.

Prefer leaving some difficulty in the game. So I would be against adding decimals to fueling in 2D.

Something I've put in a request for (but it's never simple to implement in the sim being built in Java) is to have the fuel display as a decimal number when under 10L. That way you should generally be able to work out if there's enough for another lap or not.

There's even some guesswork involved if you know exactly how much is in the tank. Your pit box is sometimes quite a way past the line, and on occasion I've calculated another lap in my head only to forget I'm going about 400m past the line too, then run out between the line and my box. :P

On that note Jack, how are the pit boxes designated within the game? Championship table? Car number? Random?

Out of interest with that extra 400m or so, does it calculate it as full throttle normal fuel usage for 400m, or less fuel consumption considering you're going slower in the pitlane?

I would say full?

You should always have just under 1 litre, not below .5, when entering the pits. This is greatly smarter as you'd want to alternate your push settings to fend off attacks.

I went 12 laps holding the lead with only 0.3-1.1 seconds between me and the other car, (with no kers left and less often backmarkers to get drs from), and still win.
