Hi all! Congratulations for this great game!
My name is Claudio, from Venice Italy; I'm totally blind and I'm playing this game using screen readers eather in my Android Phone or using my PC.
Could you label some elements in the game so that it can be really playable also for blind people?
I mean, for example, labeling the days in wich the races are run in a championship, or trying to label the percentages of damages for the cars and so on.
Also with the descriptions of the tracks, it would be nice having the charatteristics labeled.
could this thing be made eahter for the apps or for the web version of the game?
This is a great game and it could be really a challenge also for blind people who like race games like IGP.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Bye for now.

Hi Claudio, I am the lead developer of iGP Manager and CEO of iGP Games. This is definitely something we are interested in. We believe one of the great strengths of iGP Manager is its level of accessibility. Unlike racing games it does not require hand-eye coordination. You are the first blind person I have heard of playing the game, though, so I would love to learn more about your experience of iGP Manager. It is fascinating to me.

I am pleased to hear that the game is playable, because being a web application rather than a website (if this distinction doesn't mean anything to you, don't worry) it is much tougher to comply with web and accessibility standards. To be honest, it has not been a great focus for us for that reason.

Do you manage the live race? As this is doesn't use web tags I can't imagine how that element could be playable.

Whilst my limitation is nowhere as bad as being blind, I am colourblind and there are a number of areas in which I struggle, I find it's very easy for example, for me to miss the pit notice flashing, maybe if it switched to a flashing black to white notice, it would be clearer for everyone. I also struggle to differentiate between tyres during the race, in particular supersoft and hard, soft and hard, hard and inters.
Like I say, it's nothing compared to being blind and it's really just a minor inconvenience but I thought it was worth mentioning
Thank you
Paul

Hi all! Thanks very much for your interest in this post. It is almost impossible trying to do a race because it's not so easy setting the cars. The only part we, as blind people, can adjust are the tiers because there are a menu that explains what is selected and what are the possibilities; and that's the same thing eather in the app, using a web browser or using the phone internet capabilities. The best thing to do, in my opinion, could be adding some menus or ways to make the cliccable elements that are for seeing people, cliccable also for blind people. I know there are many colours to identify the status of a track or a car or parts of cars, if damaged or need repaers but, for us, it's practically impossible to have this kind of informations simply because these elements are like images and the screen readers hav many many difficoulties handling with these things. I know it's a hard work for you but this game could be a must for Racing gamers. In the blind world we don't have games like this and we'ld like havig a sort of competition with seing people. I think strategy games are the best for us because they could be pretty much textual and we could play them really well also with elements for "normal" people. I'll be very happy to help you in trying changes you will want to make in the game. The problem is that I'm not a programmer, sorry, really sorry. Thank you aniway for your help.
