Not sure if it's a bug, or a recent change with the coding.
Have been doing written commentaries as a Guest viewer in the league..was fine yesterday (20th March)

Hi,
Yes i'm afraid there has been a recent change to the code that has turned off the ability to chat as a guest.
Unfortunately there were quite a few reports of people abusing it via the anonymity being a guest gives you.
For now the guest chat has been disabled until we are able to find an alternative way to deal with the issues.
It is a case of a few must abuse it, so many can't use it situation.

That's a shame. I would hazard to say 98% of the 'Guests' use this feature in a positive manner to chat with friends in other leagues, and also to inquire about tyre information in cases of wet/mixed condition races.
Perhaps returning to the old style, Guest viewing could work. With their real usernames showing, it would be a lot easier to find the bad apples, as to say.
Or alternatively, give the league host an option as to whether to allow anonymous guests or not (in the League Settings) with 'No Guests speaking' as a default.

Peter, same with me. Tried to chat as a guest, didn't send. Thought it was something up, as my other accounts could speak in chat.
Developers, best thing to do is instead of saying guest it'll say the name of the guest when they spectate a race
Example: James Atkins(Guest) has joined
This will stop people abusing the anomity of being a guest
