I'm thinking of an idea, don't know if it can be implemented, I've been racing on here for about a year, so know more or less what tyre setup to do, however on some circuits the tyre wear is pretty high, but I'm guessing that even on a high tyre wear circuit, if the temperature is cold, then what should be the preferred tyre, might not even get up to optimal temperature. This being the case, would it be possible for those that are staying in the same league, have the temperature/weather to be included?
Hope that makes sense.

+1 for this. At the moment i keep a spreadsheet! (sad i know) :)

I normally keep a spreadsheet at the time of the race, with each split, then after throw it away. But I'm about to do China.... wear rate seems low

My strategy ended up working :D

I am not sure about your suggestion.
I seem to think that there had been discussion about this sort of information before and it was decided that, in this case, this was too much information.
The game is meant to be about management, so you have to gather information about temperature, racetracks, etc yourself. This is what makes the game interesting for a lot of players. If all the info is handed to you then there isn't much to learn and improve on.
Lots of players keep spreadsheets (as Rich suggested) as this is what the game is about - imo!
As far as I know the tracks do try to emulate the real location so it is possible the information is out there already. But it won't be exact so you still have to 'learn'.
Anyway, as in all things, I may be wrong about this.

It's not really too much information though, it's basic information that helps the accessability and playability of the game. There is a spectrum of players from casual to hardcore - only a small percentage bother to keep a spreadsheet and that would store far more valuable information than weather/tempreture. The game shouldn't rely on external record keeping, in fact, all the data and telemetry should be available for analysis. Management is about using the data you have available and turning it in to useful, strategic information. I've suggested this before - but having a full set of telemetry and data available for subscribers only is a great way for increasing the value of the subscription which a lot of people seem to think is not worth the money. It's this kind of thing that should occur with a subscription, not simply making it harder for free players due to lack of critical data, such as tyre temperatures.
Give free players simple telemetry - weather/temp (and live tyre wear/temp during races). Give subscribers a whole lot more. It keeps free players interested and competitive while still giving subscribers a strategic edge, if they know how to correctly interpret the data provided.

If you used Inters, it was light rain, if you used wets it was heavy rain, if you used dry tires, it was a dry race.

I don't think you understood the initial post. It's about being able to see what the weather/temperature conditions were in previous race results so that you can adjust your strategy for the current. This is basic information that should be available, at least to subscribers. It's not just whether it was wet or dry, it's about knowing what the track and/or ambient temperatures were so that you can choose the right compound and number of stops.
