I think there should be a system added where we can partnership with someone for 1 team just like real life F1 where 2 diff drivers work for 1 team... This would be great fun as we can discuss with our team-partner and fight for team championship etc...

If a driver could race for 2 different teams it could mean an overpowered driver in a lower tier, which would be unfair.

It is also likely they would not be at 100% health for a new race and progress on training them would be very slow.

I think the suggestion means something different. I think it's meant like sharing the basic team (infrastructure, car design & research, ...), but each one of the two players is in charge of one of the two drivers. Each player doing the hiring, training, setup and strategy and finally managing during the race of his driver/car. Both players being rivals in driver championship but in together for the team one at the same time. It's an interesting idea for sure, especially for mobile which is better suited for managing only one car. I like it.

You need to find a league where they allow two cars. Same thing. I am in a league with two cars, and I have two drivers.

Yes that's what i wanted to say, thank god you understood. Imo that would be really fun as we will be able to plan with our teammate what stragety to use etc, we can have a seperate league & Rankings for it so it wont affect single drivers racing.. hopefully they will add this system.

yet again, sharing hq would create unfair advantages for players. bad idea.

sounds like you want a one car league. theres plenty out there.

How would it create unfair advantage when the reputation won't matter for the players who dont want to partnership with other players, this will be a seperate league with seperate reputation, if u dont like it simply dont join it..

Again..... 2 car league-like idea.... we have that already.... both drivers although driving for the same team compete and therefore collect individual points for the driver's championships.

Tag team leagues as cool as they sound, they would simply take even more attention from an already complex game.

Put it in the burner for now....

when moving forward with this idea, it might place iGP a step closer to real life F1. Unfortunately that's not a desirable goal for the devs. But maybe they can put protocols in place that wouldn't so much be similar to the real thing.... Imo, we're years away for this to even be considered...

There wouldn't be any advantage because it only makes proper sense as another league mode with all teams having two managers. It sort of can be done unofficially by the league host with one car leagues. All manager choose a partner to group together to form a team and the host announces a league team champion by adding the points of the partner teams together. In this case those partner teams could develop their cars differently which would be kind of against the idea of forming one racing team together. Of course there could be a league house rule that both teams have to develop their car the same but as long as those teams are not amongst the best teams in an attribute there's no practical way to police that, and absolutely none for suppliers.

He wants to just control a driver, not a team.

He wants to be in a team with another player, rather than gp manager he wants to control just a drivers career.

Games like that exist already on pc and console.

No idea why are people here getting triggered about this idea, its very simple, you don't like it you don't join it, the idea is having a diff league if we want to partnership its up to us who are interested in such kind of league and by partnering with another person in a team mean we are not controlling team lol, no idea if u high on something, we will still manage the team but just 1 driver and having a teammate who we can discuss with what to upgrade and diff strageties...

The idea is not bad buts is simpler if you join with your friend the same league. There you can also discuss about settings and so on. But who will manage the team and the cars?
