Yesterday after the race (Monaco), I noticed that only half of the research points were granted (11 instead of 22 in Downforce).
Today happened exactly the same, with the same category under research. Again 11 instead of 22, leaving me now with 52 in Downforce, instead of the 68 I was supposed to have.
Could this please be checked and corrected before the next race, so I can keep going as planned? Otherwise I'll have to re-calculate and change all settings.
The reason for your reduced research points is your CD is weak in Downforce.
When you do research in the area of your CD weakness it reduces the strength. The research strength displayed on the research tab is unchanged but the actual power is lower.
Yes, that's the sort of figure I get when researching CD weakness, only about half of the normal research power. It's a double problem because you begin the season with a low value in CD weakness and then research is halved which makes it difficult to catch up.
This is one of the reasons that some managers run more than one CD and also when looking for a CD a "good" weakness is arguably more important than a "good" strength. Obviously if you can find a CD with both a good strength and weakness this is ideal.
