Hi,
That's not the first time than I observe this fact, but I think than full wet tyres are not realistic.
For summary, they are too fast.

This evening, race in China,  30 laps dry, 12 laps wet.
I saw drivers under rain who have made the same time laps than with soft or hard tyres on the dry. Some drivers have improved their sectors and best lap time under rain, while the race was dry during more than half-race...

The question is : how with a dry setup, cars with full wet tyres on wet track can be fast as cars with soft or hard tyres on dry track with dry setup ?

And my answer, perhaps not the good one but it is a debate, that is there is a problem on the model of full wet tyres !

P.S : I think there is also a problem for the "putting in temperature" (sorry, I don't know the correct term) also too quick.
P.S 2 : Thank you for reading  :-)

I know it's unrealistic but man, if wets were slower I'd probably not even watch wet races.

It's hard enough spending 1.5 hours a day monitoring a 100% race nevermind 2.5 hours if wets were slower lol. Monaco would turn into a 3 hour race.

No thanks ;DDDDDDDDDDDD

@ Eton,

Real F1 race can't be longer than 2 hours. If after 2 hours the race is not finished, the race is shortened.

@ Romain,

I think you're talking about the time to warm up the tyres at their optimal temperature to have the best grip ? Right ?
I agree with you. The car is incredibly fast with full wet tyres !

To my opinion, it's more important to have realist tyre models (soft, hard and intermediate seem to be good but not full wet) than a race 5 or 10 min shorter.

In reality, as we saw at last Interlagos  F1 Grand Prix, there is a big difference between the lap time on dry and wet track (more than 5 sec per lap).
And as we can see below, in iGP this difference does not exist :

This is false, the track doesn't become immediately wet after the first rain drops, track wetness builds up overtime, also your tires are cold on the outlap and the lap afterwards in some cases.

It is correct that wet tires are faster than softs when the conditions are correct, this is down to an issue in the game which has yet to be fixed, and also, if we reduced laptimes by 5 seconds per lap for every lap the race is wet? A race that would last 90minutes would then run alot longer.
