Hi, i just did a race where it was 29 laps with 4.2L economy of fuel, i put two 62 litres for my 2 stints, and i ended up pitting 4 times, once because i was on a 1 stop strategy, and 3 because i ran out of fuel, can anyone help me figure it out better?

2 stints of 62 should of had you finish No problem.
However if on your first stop it adds less than 62 then the extra fuel goes away.
I have noticed that if i pit with 3L left in the tank and take 40L the car is filled to 40L and that extra fuel isn\'t counted.
So I\'m guessing you maybe underfueled the car. just a guess

I\'m sort of confused about how the 1st line of the strategy works. Is that ONLY for qualifying? And does that fuel count for both race and q in the 1st stint.

When you pit, the car is filled to the level you specify. It does not actually put that much fuel in.
The first line is for the first stint, its just that the tire choice is also used for qualifying. The fuel however is not, qualifying uses a low fuel level no matter what you put. I\'m not sure if the tires actually wear from qualifying but I would assume not.

How much fuel you use depends mainly on the following-
the track you are racing on
how good your technical director is
what strategy you have set
You will also pit depending on your advanced strategy and if your tyres are wearing.
Tyres do not wear during qualifying.

That\'s right, you start off with a new set of tyres for the main race after qualifying.
