Hello
I've been frustrated for weeks, more like months since I got back to the igp.
I do nothing but get shitty results in a league that as you neglect one or two races and you're not all already said goodbye to the championship. by my personal schedules is very difficult to have evidence throughout the season.
It looks like it's time to look for a league that fits your schedule and find fellow racers eager to point you in the right direction to help you succeed in the game . I know it's difficult at times, but at the end it's better for all involved.
But the thing is that I connect, I make the optimal improvements, car always new, seat to the maximum of, best possible people, best setup, SAME STRATEGY THAT THE OTHERS, generally in top 4 in most practices ... BUT, I usually finish far from the winners...
Why?
I've been asking myself the question for weeks....... That if the traffic, the push not know what to think.
Ok, this one isn't as easy to answer. Practices and qualy have very little influence on race day other than driver's personal setup and grid position.
The variables are way too many to take into account. setting up is a good start. However, managing that setup throughout live races is extremely vital for any chance of success. Attending live races gives you a huge advantage over those who don't, generally speaking.
I always carry the optimum thrust, never overheating, except in circumstances that require an extra without using the kers, traffic is the only reason but still do not understand how it can influence so much and others not.
Besides, catching traffic is catching drs... Before that was good for something.
This is the "managing" part I talked about. "catching traffic is catching drs" only on designated areas and dry conditions.
The difference between managing tire temperature and managing track's characteristics are like day and night.
When you manage just tire temperature, you miss opportunities to overtake opponents without using kers/drs.
When you manage track characteristics, you learn to increase PL on certain spots only you know your car has an easier time accelerating. This will be a different spot for most managers based on their overall(driver, car, CD,TD and HQ) team's development.
Imo, When you think about all possible variables x how many managers you race against, you begin to understand just how difficult it is to hit all those said variables with equal results.
I race against a lot of managers 1 to 2 levels higher than me.... The difference in performance isn't always a given. In other words, active managers(like myself) invest time working out the numbers to figure out where they're lacking performance. Your post race data has a lot of this info. It's like the "why-didn't-I-think-of-that" race book for domies(no pun intended).
I hope you can figure things out before you feel there's no other alternative but to move on.
