Can't bid in the second round?

Hi there,

I just tried to bid on a new doctor for my team. The knockout round started, I bid around the 50 seconds remaining mark, thinking "better safe than sorry"(who knows, slow connection might make my bid not go through if I wait till the end).

Then the second round of bidding began.. and the buttons for bidding were greyed out. Refreshing did nothing. I'm kind of upset. Is it meant to work that way? You HAVE to wait till the end of the bidding countdown to get into the next rounds of bidding?

Or is it some sort of bug?

It's my first day here and I had the same issue, but thought maybe i did sth wrong. I am using andoid. 

My device is using Android 7.0
"Samsung Experience 8.1" (not sure if this is relevant)
