I just finished 11th and 12th in our first race of the season, and expected my team to be the first team on 0pts, and for some reason I'm not. Can anyone explain how the 0pts tie is decided, and why it's not like real life?

From your post I understand it's not like on finishing position.
Maybe on car number? That is based, I think, on time entering the league.

It's based upon number of best finishes, for example if both drivers scored 0 points but driver A had more 11th places than driver b, then driver A would be ahead. Currently there is an issue with that system on the game which has not been placed as a high priority as of yet. This would be Jack's area.

Well, considering this was the first race of the season, and I finished 11th and 12th, it was impossible for someone else to be ahead of me with 0pts, but they are. Instead of being 6th on the team table, I am 9th, even behind a team whose drivers finished in last and second-to-last places in the same race.

Anybody?
It isn't alhabetical by manager or team, it isn't by best finish... How is it calculated?
Andrew Hurn medal 5000 11 years 325 days ago
I think it is by best finish; atleast it is in my league. I know because I write a season review & need to record the results in order to do so.

It is not by best finish, you can see that if you look at the rankings after the first race. Most likely it is sorted by the date you join the league.

As I said, this was the first race of the season, and my drivers got the BEST FINISH POSSIBLE outside of the points, but aren't the first drivers with 0pts on the table..... :)

So get points next race to fix that ;)
Tim Wheatley medal 5000 11 years 320 days ago
This race both my drivers ran out of fuel, which I assume is a feature, and I have slipped further back in the 0pts listings. So it seems where you finish in the midfield or the backfield doesn't matter. It's ALL about the bonus positions. Championship position means NOTHING then?

I wonder if it is related to XP lost or gained. Looking at the table it is nothing to do with when people joined the league, and it struck me in previous seasons that it was all about best finishing position. There seems an element of that involved, but apparently it doesn't apply to you Tim!
Tim Wheatley medal 5000 11 years 319 days ago
It just takes away a reason to even show up, know what I mean? As long as my guys get their bonuses, it doesn't matter how well I do. As you can see, I want my rightful position (or at least, what I thought was, if I could work out how it's calculated - no response on how yet though). This was what I was racing for, until I score a point, then I would be racing for points. But now? I guess I'll just take my bonuses and be all un-excited, and stuff, about getting a decent non-points finish...

I have just checked my league again & the postions of the teams are correct. They work on the best finish for those who have not scored points. The drivers that have not scored points are not listed correctly however.
Tim Wheatley medal 5000 11 years 319 days ago
And in our league, the drivers are by best finish, the teams are not. Awesome... lol

Looked into this for my own standings. We did the first race of a season, so the standings should be the same as the finising positions....
For the race my drivers both got no points, finishing 11th and 16th (of the 28 starting). As manager I scored 7th.
In the standings my drivers are 11th and 12th (out of 29 - one team has 3 drivers, I guess he switched drivers after practicing?): the first two with 0 points. For number 11 this is correct (he was also 11th in the race). For number 12 it isn't, he was 16th in the race.
For the standings as manager I am 15th of 16. The only one below me is the team that didn't start any drivers this race.... The order of the managers that got 0 ponts is all jumbled up, no logic I could find. Certainly not connnected to the real finishing positions, nor to the drivers standings (which are not connected to the real finishing positions either).

I am as confused as you guys are with this one. Let me ask & I will report back with a definative answer.

Could it be the best place attained by a teams driver on any lap during a race as they go across the finish line?
Just a thought :)

Lifting this question again.
My drivers finished P11 and P12 in the Australia race yesterday, yet my team is placed last in the standings.
The drivers are placed P11 and P14.
Wouldn't be great to maybe get pushed out of Elite division if I keep finish right outide the points, while some other teams place worse, yet get position in standings before my.
So how is the standings calculated guys? :)
Gary Collyer medal 5011 10 years 248 days ago
the game doesn't start sorting guys on 0 points till after race 2 or 3, it will then sort it self out and u will be the leader on 0 points as you are the first guy in league to get a P11.
so dont worry.
Andrew Hurn medal 5000 10 years 248 days ago
Gary is correct. The correct order is not displayed until the 2nd race.
