I find odd that we have race fastest lap wich are even 8 seconds faster than qualify...
Why is this happening? it's the total opposite of what we see in real races...

it is because of the boost, if you use it in total in one lap it is about 8 sec.

You cant get a fastest lap or qualifying lap now.  They were created before and they refuse to change it.  Therefore the re words always will remain

It is the same issue we have discussed on multiple threads regarding Kers. The way it is currently destroys any semblance of realism. It is the old 'videogame vs simgame' arguement. For the record I am emphatically on the side of increasing realism as far as kers is concerned, preferably with a capped boost/lap system similar to what is seen in F1. Factor that amount into qually and the snail's pace of qualification is no longer an issue. ANOTHER reason to adopt this approach. ?
