Is it possible? Not to be rude or anything, but I'd love this feature. Wouldn't use it all the time I just find sometimes in races I'm easily distracted by conversations going on. I know you can turn the chat overlay off but I feel even more rude when I'm online and just ignoring people haha.

Added to the development list. Thanks for the suggestion. Rather than let you appear as offline and spy on what everyone else is saying though, simply an option to log out of the chat completely would be better. There are some problems with that too though. It'll take a bit of thought.
Yes I quite like that idea as I sometimes attend races but am busy doing umpteen other things so don't chat. Then I get annoyed when other people don't reply to me - doh! I prefer the idea that you are 'visible' but do not want to chat - other than 'spying' when people don't know you are there, as the latter could lead to all kinds of problems.
