https://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-live/196/2d

The race started in dry weather, and then started to rain, then dried again.

A manager\'s pits (http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-profile/38) didn\'t work at all. The pit window he said it went blank, and they put random tyres and random fuel.

When the rain started he was forced to race in dry tyres, timing 1:37 per lap. When the rain stopped, their times went  up to 1:43 aprox. How is it?... we know if the tarmac is drying it\'s understable that lap times go up, but in this case?... His lap times should be better, not worse.

Besides, my wet times were 1 sec behind the fastest lap until then. I think it was too fast if we compare wet/dry conditions.

About Ezequiel of http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team-profile/38, what do you mean by the pit window going \"blank\".  Did the whole window go blank, or just the options?

As far as I can see, the tyres/fuel applied was far from random.  At each stop it looks like the scheduled settings were applied, although it seems that the weather strategy (rain-start tyres, etc) was not followed and I can\'t figure out why yet.

The track wetness grows gradually when it starts raining.  From the 1:37 you pointed out, it looks like it is a bit too gradual!

He said the options went blank, and he couldn\'t modify his pits.

As far as I can see, the tyres/fuel applied was far from random.  At each stop it looks like the scheduled settings were applied, although it seems that the weather strategy (rain-start tyres, etc) was not followed and I can\'t figure out why yet.

He said he wanted to change tyres, which is obvious because it was raining and he was on hards and softs. About fuel he didn\'t specify what was wrong, he only said the refuel was randomised.

The track wetness grows gradually when it starts raining.  From the 1:37 you pointed out, it looks like it is a bit too gradual!

Andrew, what you say is logic. But it was DRYING. So I can infer it was nothing near the gradual you say. The lap times were just wrong.

Wet tyres, wet weather --> about 1:32 OK
Dry tyres, wet weather --> about 1:37 OK
Wet tyres changed to dry tyres, dry weather, tarmac drying ---> about 1:44 OK (maybe a little bit high, but whatever)
Dry tyres NOT changed to dry tyres, dry weather, tarmac drying ---> about 1:43 It think it should be around 1:32, 1:34 tops.

The other issue was lap times when wet vs lap times when dry.

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/196/11270

Compare lap 23 (dry) with lap 40 (wet)---> 1:32.176 vs 1:32.650  (+0.474)

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/196/11990

Compare lap 25 (dry) with lap 40 (wet)---> 1:32.750 vs 1:33.283  (+0.467)

I have to add that I missed practice, so they went racing with the defaults.
I hope I made it clearer. :/

I don\'t have time to go back and investigate this just now, I will do later.  But I\'ll just point out now that I\'m 99% sure that according to the simulation logs, when Berlusconi had the 1:37 time you mentioned the track was only starting to get wet.  Perhaps you weren\'t referring to Berlusconi though?  but you did say:
When the rain started he was forced to race in dry tyres, timing 1:37 per lap

His times then went significantly higher than 1:37 as the track became wetter.  Later on, as the track dried, his times improved.  Maybe I\'m still not seeing what you are pointing out?

As I said though, I\'ll have another look at this in detail later on.

Ezequiel: Thanks very much for the screenshots. That is a bug; I\'ll fix it.

Patrick: Sorry about that, I was in the middle of sorting some serious problems with the simulator at that point and your race was disrupted.  This should not happen again.

Regarding the problem Ezequiel was having with the blanked out stint rows, this has now been fixed (pending an update).  This would happen in cases where only one stint is specified.
